Moving Apartments in Gangwon-do, Korea

Hi there! It's been quite a weekend for us as we recently moved inside of Gangwon-do, from one small city to another. Let me share some of our exciting adventures with you!

Our new apartment complex is located by a beautiful park with a river and many cherry blossom trees. It's such a stunning sight, especially in the evenings when the blossoms are lit up. Yesterday, my husband and I went for a quick run there, and it was simply delightful. We ran for about 10 minutes, enjoying the scenic views and the refreshing breeze. It was a perfect way to unwind after a busy weekend of moving and unpacking stuff.

Moving to a new place can be challenging, but we're trying to make the most of it. Gangwon-do is known for its breathtaking natural beauty, and we're lucky to have such a lovely park right in front of our apartment. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom. We're looking forward to spending more time there, picnicking, biking, and enjoying leisurely walks along the river.

Aside from the park, our new city also offers unique cultural experiences and outdoor activities that we're excited to explore. We've already started discovering new restaurants, cafes, and local markets, and we're eager to immerse ourselves in the local culture.

Of course, moving comes with its fair share of challenges, such as packing, unpacking, and adjusting to a new environment. But we're taking it one step at a time, and we're grateful for the support of our friends and family during this transition.

In addition to the scenic park and cherry blossoms, we also encountered an unexpected challenge during our move. We had to pay ~$100 to use the elevator at our own apartment complex! It was an unexpected expense that caught me by surprise, but I quickly learned that it's a common practice in this area. To make our move easier, we decided to hire a small moving company. They arrived with a small truck and one hardworking worker who helped us carry our belongings. He worked tirelessly, carrying heavy boxes and furniture up and down the stairs, and we were grateful for his assistance. Despite the physical labor, we paid around 400 bucks for their services, which we felt was a fair price for the hard work they put in.

Moving can be stressful, but it's also an opportunity for growth and adventure. It has been a weekend full of surprises, challenges, and new beginnings for us, and we are excited to see what the future holds in our new city. We'll keep you updated on our adventures and hope to make the most out of our time here in Gangwon-do.

I love this post, M! The mountains and cherry blossoms are beyond beautiful at your new home! Is the $100 fee for the elevator monthly, or a one time fee?

Hey hannah! fancy seeing you here haha. The $100 was a one time fee on the day we were moving, because apparently we would be using so much electricity riding up and down that day?
